You can also add your suppliers in bulk. To access the bulk import functionality, click on ADD ORGANISATIONS -> Add in bulk
Here you can add organisations in 2 ways: fill in all the information of the organisations in the table, or via an excel template. All your input will automatically be saved to come back at it later.
Above the table there are some actions you can perform.
- By selecting to sync GGN numbers we automatically retrieve supplier data (name, address, and country) from the GlobalG.A.P. database.
- With CONFIGURE COLUMNS you can customize which columns you want to see in the table. This also configures which columns will be shown in the downloaded excel template.
- Via EXCEL TEMPLATE you can download the excel import template or upload it.
Add via table
If you want to add organisations without using Excel or test how it will be imported, you can fill in all the organisations data in the table.
When invalid data is inserted into the table, an error button will appear under the table.
When clicking this button, it will automatically jump to and select the first cell which has invalid data. When you hover your mouse over the ‘?’ button, it will show you what is wrong. All errors need to be solved before you can continue importing.
If you want to add an organisation which is a supplier of another organisation you’re importing, you can also select it from the dropdown in the ‘Is supplier of’ column.
If you have all the information filled in and you wish to proceed importing the organisations, you can do so by clicking the SUBMIT button.
If you want to start with an empty table, you can do so by clicking the RESET TABLE button.
Add via excel
If you want to import organisations via the excel template, you can do so by downloading the template and fill in all the data in the sheet. An explanation of each column of the template is in the next article in this Help Center.
In the sheet, you find the same fields in columns as the table. Fill in all the data you have and save it on your computer (as an .xlsx file).
Side note: when filling in large numbers like a GGN, it can turn into a number like 1,31313E+12. To solve this, change the cell type to number.
When you import the sheet you can choose if you want to overwrite all the data that is already in the table, or to add it to the bottom of the table.
After submitting, all the organisations you added be found under the organisation page. If you turned on the GGN sync, it can a few minutes get all the information about organisations with a GGN from the database.
If you are still having problems importing the Excel file, please look at the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section in Supply Chain Approval or submit a support ticket.
