There are three components for using filters: Columns, Operator, and Value.
In the Columns field, you can see columns as the category of your filter.
Operator looks at how you want to filter. For example, do you want to include or exclude the filter in your search.
Value looks at a specific value within the Column.
Example:
We can set Column to Country.
We then set the Operator to Contains.
Finally, we set the Value to Spain.
This results in the system only showing you organisations from Spain.
Columns
There are a few columns that need some extra explanation:
Water Risk (WRF): WRF stands for Water Risk Filter which is a tool made by WWF (World Wildlife Fund) aimed to help companies assess and respond to water-related risks across their operations.
Types: This is where you can filter by Organisation types. Here is a list of all the possible options for organisation types;
Raw material supplier, processing aid, production location, customer, broker ripener, importer, processor, exporter, plot, warehouse, wholesaler, laboratory, article, packaging supplier, producer group, third party services, employment agency, cooling mechanics, transport, packer, producer, cooperative, trader, and retailer
Products: The products column seems straightforward. However, there are some industry-specific words and SCA-specific in there. Which are ‘Portfolio’ and ‘(PPM)’. The portfolio shows up when you’ve added a specific product to your product portfolio. PPM is short for Plant Propagation material. We have all products without PPM and with PPM since we gather our product list directly from GLOBAL G.A.P.
Country groups: This Column looks at specific ways to sort countries. You can find more information about these filters here. Note that we update the risk countries' categorization regularly.
To clear all filters there’s a ‘CLEAR ALL FILTERS’ button.
Columns
By using columns, you can customize what kind of information you want to see. In other words, you can ‘hide’ columns that you find unnecessary and ‘show’ (toggle on) the columns you find are important.
We recommend that you do not turn off the Check box selection since by using that column you can perform bulk actions.
For example, I have selected two organisations (click on the check box on the left).
Then I will see these options; to send out a request, add or delete products, add, or remove tags archive the selected organisations, un-archive the selected organisation if it was archived, block the organisations, or un-block the organisations if they were blocked before.
As you can see in this example (the image above) the option to send out requests, un-archive, and un-block these organisations are hidden. This is because the selected organisation does not have any contact information, is not archived, and is not blocked.
If you would like to cancel your bulk actions, you can always select the CLEAR ALL button.
