There are two types of requirement cards a MUST-HAVE requirement card and a NICE-TO-HAVE requirement card.
The difference between them is;
MUST-HAVE requirement cards are documents you need/require from your suppliers.
You can add multiple document types in one requirement card. Within a requirement card, the relationship between document types Is OR. (e.g. your supplier complies if they send a rainforest alliance OR fairtrade OR SIZA, etc.).
However, if you require multiple documents from your suppliers, you will need to make multiple requirement cards. Thus, the relationship between requirement cards Is AND. We send out automatic document requests for missing/expired/about to expire must-have requirements.
NICE-TO-HAVE requirement cards are documents that you want/would like to have from your supplier, but it is not a must-have thus you don't want requests to be sent out for them. On the bottom of a ‘must-have requirement’ document request, the ‘nice-to-have’ documents are mentioned to see whether your supplier has one or more of those documents. It Is possible to add multiple documents to one requirement card.
Disclaimer: A nice-to-have requirement does not trigger a request on its own, so only when a must-have document is either missing, expired, or expiring soon, a nice-to-have document is requested in that automatic document request.
Once a document classified as a nice-to-have exists or is provided by a supplier, the nice-to-have document becomes a normal requirement entry and automatic document requests will be sent once the nice-to-have document expires.
