Today the product release is happening. This feature has been a long time in the making and the team here at Agriplace can’t wait to hear what you think about it. So, without further ado, let us tell you what new features you can expect when opening Agriplace Supply Chain Approval.
A summary of this release
· Products and seasons: What can you do with it?
· How to set up your products portfolio
· Setting up your product-specific requirement rules
· Tracking compliance on a product level
- Products and seasons: What can you do with it?
This release allows you to request documents per product, for example, ‘a residue analysis for Strawberries and Blackberries. You will also be able to set up seasons in your product portfolio for each product/country combination that you source from. This ensures that any product-specific requirements are suspended outside of the season, and therefore only request information when the season is active. Important: with this release, you will only be able to request product-specific documentation for documents of which you require one document per product, for example, specifications, lab analyses, declarations, grower lists, etc. Currently, you cannot check product compliance on more generic certificates like GlobalG.A.P.
2. How to set up your product portfolio
To start off, we have created a whole new page: The product portfolio. Here you can tell the platform which products you are sourcing from what countries. Besides this, you also need to fill in when a product is in season in that particular country. Example: In the image below we’ve set up the product carrot for both Spain and the Netherlands and their corresponding seasons, meaning that any requirements for carrots from suppliers in Spain and the Netherlands are only active during these timeframes.
The only thing that is left to do now is to choose what suppliers from, in this example, Spain and the Netherlands supply you with carrots. The platform will recommend suppliers it thinks should be added, based on what products are on the GlobalG.A.P. certificate of the organisations in your account.
Of course, you can also assign products to suppliers right from the organisation tab. We’ve added two places where you can do this. There is a new field in the ‘Organisation Info’ tab, but we also added a new tab called ‘Products’.
Last but not least, products can also be added to organisations in the organisation bulk-import, see below. Here you can add up to 10 products per organisation.
3. Setting up your product-specific requirement rules
When creating new requirement rules you can now tell the system you want to make it product-specific. Thus, you would want a document per product that you receive from a producer (e.g. a residue analysis). You can tell the platform what documents you want from all producers that provide you with this (or all) product(s).
For now, you will only be able to request product-specific documentation. All general document types will always be requested, even when out of season. The type of documents you can request when in season are:
· All types of residue Analysis
· Product & packaging specifications
· All types of lab analysis
· Spray reports and results
· Proposed pesticide list
(!) Please let us know if you’re missing any product-specific document types.
After this you can set up the target group as you would before, resulting in the platform showing you how many documents are requested and the amount and percentage of valid requirements.
4. Tracking compliance on a product level
If you look at the requirement rule, there is a link in the part of the target group called 'Requirement link'. Selecting this brings you to an overview in which you can track the compliance of this requirement rule. Here you can monitor what requirements are suspended and why.
You can also track the document status on the ‘Compliance Overview’ page. Below you can see that we filtered the page to only show organisations that have ‘Carrots’ as a product assigned to them.
In the future, it might become possible to apply seasons to other, more general, types of documents, but we will wait for your feedback. So, if you have any ideas, questions, or remarks please let us know!
With kind regards from your CST team,
Yoram, Otilia, Laura and Helena
