Dear user,
In preparation for the full and exciting release of Products to Chain - requesting specific document types on a product level - we bring the new, improved compliance overview. We have updated the design and have added many new filters to help you gain more insights into your supply chain.
Summary of what’s new
- Required documents is now the default view, it used to be the ‘available documents’ page.
- The table no longer has separate pages to improve its speed.
- You can now select action rows on your compliance overview.
- We have added many new filter options (e.g., region, water risk, and more)
- Your filters are now saved when refreshing the compliance overview.
1. New actions and filtering improvements
Tagging and archivingcompliance overview. In the future, this new ‘actions container’ will allow us to add additional functionality requested by you. By selecting organisations, you will now be able to add/remove tags or archive suppliers straight from the
Major update to filtering
We have added many new filtering options. Let me walk you through all the new additions and provide you with some examples and use cases.
Just as a quick refresher, this is how the filters used to look in the old compliance overview:
As you can see there was only 1 search field and 7 filters.
In the current implementation, you can access all the new filters through the ‘filters’ button, which is much better aligned with the design of the rest of the application. I have highlighted a few filters that I will explain below.
- 🔵 Blue: All identifiers’ filters; from now on it is possible to filter on each separate identifier which are displayed in their own columns. We have chosen to create a separate column and filter for each unique identifier as each user has different needs and workflows, so now each user can personalize their view just how they would want it.
- 🟠 Orange: Water risk and region. First, let’s unravel water risk; based on the data of the World Wide Fund of Nature (WWF), you will now be able to filter your suppliers that are in high to low-risk countries in terms of water risk. As for regions, if you have added the regions to your suppliers, you can in one go filter on a certain region and see the compliance of all your suppliers in that region.
- 🟢 Green: compliance status; view specific compliance statuses across all your visible requirement rules. Thus, now you can filter and directly see all your suppliers that comply or not with the visible requirement rules.
- 🟡 Yellow: requirement rule; view the compliance status for a specific requirement rule. In the example below, I can filter on my ‘producer’ requirement rule and view all suppliers that have valid documents for that particular requirement rule.
Additionally, filtering also now gives you the option to show ‘Filtered out supply chain’. Enabling you to still gain context of your supply chain even after applying filtering.
To give you another example, below I have filtered to show all my organisations from Spain. You can see that ‘Fruit Co.’ is greyed out as that organisation is not from Spain. Furthermore, by clicking ‘show filtered out supply chain’, we could see the rest of the supply chain of Fruit Co., even though they are not from Spain.
2. Document request and suspension insights
We will make some improvements to the pop-up window that is shown when you click on status on the compliance overview – required documents page.
The ‘suspension status’ will now be shown in the pop-up window. As the suspended requirements are clearly marked, you can immediately distinguish between suspended and active requirements. Certain suspensions (blocked organisations) will also no longer impact your overall compliance status, allowing you to have a more accurate overview of your compliance and what requires more immediate action.
The keen-eyed amongst you may have already spotted another nice addition to the pop-up window, the document request status. However, due to implications to the speed of the application, we have decided to release the document request status insights somewhere in the coming month.
3. Other changes to the compliance overview
No more separate pagesThe table no longer has separate pages to improve the speed and loading time. You can continue clicking the ‘show more’ button below the table to load more organisations into your view, gaining more context and coverage of your supply chain.
Saved filtersYour filters are now saved when refreshing the compliance overview. However, after closing the tab, all filters are removed. Good to know: We will be working on improving saving filters on tables across the application. The mentioned improvement above is one step forward to making this possible. In the meantime, we will be introducing some smaller features to help you in your workflow.
As always, if you have any questions or uncertainties, or if you just want to say hi, just reach out 😊
With kind regards from your CST team,
Helena, Yoram, Otilia and Laura
